A Few Things

I hope that you are enjoying the summer and that you and your families are doing well. 🙂
A few things:
- During our Holocaust Studies classes, some of you had asked about or suggested an equivalence between President Trump and Adolf Hitler. As you know, I resist an easy comparison of this sort, though I'm also aware of overlaps. In a Venn diagram scenario, the question for me is always whether or not the overlaps are significant enough to warrant a perception of equivalency between the two things or persons being compared. For those of you who lean this way regarding Trump and Hitler, THIS LINK to the first piece, below, I think will help support your position and give pause to mine (and, yes, I am firmly of the opinion that people don't have to see things the same way when legitimate differences of opinion are warranted).
- THIS LINK is to a book by the author of the piece on Trump and Hitler. I'm waiting for it to arrive, so I cannot give you a take on it yet, but, I wanted to bring the book to your attention in case you want to check it out, as well.
- Finally, there's a short and informative series that I'm watching on Amazon Prime, called "Living with Hitler." I thought that you might find this series to be of interest, as well.
