12:00 PM - 2:00 PMTBSTBS invites you and your friends to our Lunch Bunch program! We meet once a month, typically on the last Thursday of each month. Enjoy a nice lunch, interesting speakers and programs, and most of all — a chance to schmooze with TBS friends, old and new!
Please join us as we welcome local novelist & Gramercy Books owner, Linda Kass.
About Linda: Linda Kass is the author of two previous historical novels, Tasa’s Song and A Ritchie Boy, the 2021 IPPY Gold Medal Winner in Historical Fiction. Bessie, released in September 2023, was named the Prose Finalist for the eighth annual Phillip H. McMath Post-Publication Book Award. MS. Magazine.com said of Bessie: "...[it's] a fascinating historical novel that plumbs the cultural contradictions that impacted Myerson and led her to speak out against both antisemitism and racial bigotry....Nuanced, complex and insightful...." Hadassah Magazine said the novel is “...impressively researched....[it] comes to a crescendo in her vivid and artful portraits of real-life characters, and especially of Bessie, the woman hailed by her Jewish community as their modern Queen Esther." Linda began her career as a magazine journalist and correspondent for regional and national publications. She is the founder and owner of Gramercy Books, an independent bookstore in Columbus, Ohio. Find her online at lindakass.com
