Temple Beth Shalom is a warm and inclusive congregation whose members are inspired to explore and express Judaism within the broad and dynamic framework of Reform beliefs and practices. We seek to provide Jewish spiritual, educational and social opportunities which encourage personal development and social responsibility as well as promote greater knowledge of our Jewish history and culture.​

Founded in 1977, Temple Beth Shalom (TBS) is the center of Jewish life in New Albany, a vibrant community near Columbus, Ohio. When you walk inside, you’ll find a community of all ages, with diverse backgrounds, and a wide range of interests. What we have in common is a deep commitment to promoting an inclusive and responsive connection to Judaism that is actively Joyful, intentionally Personal, and Welcoming to all.

Your name, email address, home address, and home phone number will be listed in
the Temple Membership Directory by default, unless requested otherwise. Once your Membership Account is setup you will be able to control your directory listing by logging into your account at any time.

Religious School meets Sunday mornings at 9:30am from September - May and is available to students in Kindergarten through 7th Grade.
Kindergartners - 2nd Graders spend the morning learning Judaics, Jewish Values, and Music until 11am. Our 3rd Graders - 7th Graders have a Hebrew Learning and Judaics sessions until 12pm.
Our Madrichim, or Teachers Aide, Program is open to 8th - 12th Graders.
Madrichim help teach in classrooms, help individual students with Hebrew, and are terrific role models for younger students.
Our Teen Program provides an opportunity for 8th Graders - 12th Graders to meet once a month on Sunday evenings for dinner, conversation, and curriculum that focuses on Jewish values, an understanding of Torah stories & holidays, navigating antisemitism, and cultivating pride for being Jewish.



Members of Temple Beth Shalom support the incredible programs and services of our community through their annual commitment. In order for us to open our doors to all who seek to join, regardless of financial capacity, some members contribute Above and Beyond their standard dues level.

Facility Fee 
In order to secure funds for improvements and upkeep of our building, each member household is assessed an annual facility fee of $275
